This is such a fascinating experiment that I read about in the NY Times. I can not imagine having the responsibility of being a teacher and principal at the same time. However, if it works, why not?! Take a look at this article:

Our school’s junior high science teacher was also serving as an interim principal for several months earlier this year while we were looking for a principal. Since she was teaching and doing administrative work, I had to take over her 9th grade geometry at the beginning of 2nd semester. It was a lot of work for all of us.
I can imagine that!!
